Jeff began his musical journey at the age of eight when he started taking piano lessons. By sixteen, he took a significant step in developing keyboard skills when he joined his first band. By age eighteen, Jeff transitioned into playing professionally. Today, Jeff remains an active performer, dedicating most of his time to his solo shows, yet still playing with various groups and ensembles on occasion. Before the COVID pandemic, Jeff booked over 300 gigs a year for three years in a row, amazing audiences by providing live entertainment. Respected and dependable within the musical community, Jeff still maintains a bustling schedule showcasing his versatility by covering a wide range of musical events. His dedication and talent firmly establish him as one of Louisville's most accomplished musicians, making a lasting impact on the local music scene.

A talented musician and composer, Jeff also achieved significant academic milestones by earning both a bachelor's degree in music composition in 1995 and a master's degree in 1999 from the University of Louisville School of Music. His dedication and prowess in the field have not gone unnoticed, as he has been honored with numerous awards throughout his academic and professional journey. In recognition of his contributions and impact, Jeff was proudly inducted into the Jeffersontown High School Hall of Fame in 2015, celebrating his roots in Jeffersontown (a Louisville suburb) and his commitment to excellence in music. Jeff was also awarded the 'Best Keyboardist' award by the Appalachian Arts and Entertainment awards in 2024. His achievements serve as an inspiration for aspiring musicians and highlight the importance of music education and individual recognition for pursuing one's passion.

Jeff is a seasoned performer who has journeyed extensively across the United States and even ventured as far as South Africa, England, Alaska, and Aruba. His impressive resume includes collaborations with notable groups like The Impressions, Linkin’ Bridge, and the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra. He has enjoyed appearances alongside artists such as Karen Lovely, The Wulfe Brothers, The Mystics, and The Sultans. Jeff has also made twelve live television appearances on WHAS11 'Great Day Live.' Between 2012 and 2014, he had the unique opportunity to play aboard the Governor's Derby Train, accompanying former Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear. In addition to his live performances, Jeff’s musical talent can be heard on numerous recordings from regional artists, including albums by The Billy Hanks Band and David Owen, further showcasing his versatility and passion for music.
